reader’s letters

9 04 2012

Wouldn’t it be fun to write letters to characters in books? I think it would be fun. So thus was born:

Reader’s Letters

an occasional feature where I write letters to characters. I would like to comment that I am not the first to use this idea; Google “reader’s letters” for many great posts

SENT MAIL:

Dear Anne,

SERIOUSLY. Get with the program & realize that you are MADLY AND CRAZILY IN LOVE with Gilbert Blythe, as the rest of us knew from page 64. Don’t wait until he’s almost DEAD. And Anne, caps always mean that this is very important.

But I still love you!

Dear Katniss,

Do you happen to have any extra Mockingjay pins?

Dear Henry,

HENRY AHH I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. You’re so smart and sweet and quirky and such a great animal lover and spoiler and spoiler and spoiler. I MISS YOU. Why did you have to [redacted]?

YOU ARE THE GREATEST.

LYLAS,

Paige

Dear Paige,

Listen, I know your book hasn’t come out yet (but I DID review it) and we do have the same name, but I really wanted to send you this letter. You’re such a great character, and so charming and funny and sweet. Love you, and you’re a perfect representation of awesome Paiges.

Paiges forever,

Paige

——

Dear Veronica,

I’m sending you this because I know you will be amazed by the wonders of email.

Your friend,

Paige

And that’s all we have for Readers’ Letters today! If you’re wondering: Veronica and Henry are from The FitzOsbornes Series by Michelle Cooper, Katniss is obviously from the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins, Anne is from the Anne of Green Gables series by L.M Montgomery, and Paige is from The Princesses of Iowa by M. Molly Backes.

Thanks for reading!
